Hi — I hope the holiday season is treating you well so far. Since this time of year is filled with gatherings of friends and family, I thought I’d share some of my go-to, festive finger foods—the dishes I make when I am asked to bring something to share, or I am hosting a get-together of my own. As per my M.O., each is packed with healthful ingredients—vegetables, fruit, nuts, whole grains— is beautifully festive, easy to make, and loaded with enticing flavor. Enjoy!

This party platter is a stunning assortment of green and red vegetables arranged decoratively around a bowl of herb-flecked avocado dip so the whole thing looks like a holiday centerpiece. It’s as compellingly delicious as it is beautiful.

The combination of colorful ingredients in this festive finger food is as tasty as it is attractive. But the real beauty of the dish is that nearly all the ingredients can be prepped in advance, so it can be pulled together at a moment’s notice, making entertaining a breeze.
Fig and Ginger Truffles

Fig and ginger are a fabulous duo, with ginger adding just the right zing to the earthy sweet fruit. But when you envelop those flavors in rich dark chocolate – look out! Because then you have “fabulous” plus chocolate with these fig and ginger truffles. Need I say more?
